Birthday Post Part 2
Yes, it is my birthday today. I turned 37. I am about to leave work here soon and go spend time with my wife for my birthday.
I started to think about the best year and the best age of my life.

6 was a good year. No responsibilities, no worries, and I could play for hours with a piece of string and a stick. Good times.
I think having turned 37 today myself and not killed myself yet might mean that today marks my favorite age.

It’s hard to say for me because I am young. I can definitely say my least favorite ages though.. basically all of middle school was my least favorite.
It seems every year has good and bad moments; particularly Jan-Feb of every year is tough for me emotionally, and also the summers have been in the past, but I am hoping this year will be the best of my life. ^^

I think it would be easier to pick my least favorite years, but I’ll try. Let’s see, 26 was pretty cool – adorable baby daughter and living in Hawaii. But there was that whole Navy thing to balance it out.

My favorite age? 14 probably. That’s when I started getting more social and actually doing stuff with my friends. Haha. And when I started being nicer. Actually… that was more like 13. But at 14 people started forcing me to be social. So… yeah.

I feel that I haven’t gotten to it yet. Seventeen was a nice age, but there may be on to top it.
I’m very young, but so far being 18 [this year] is my favorite. Just because it’s been the best year of my life. Only the first five months were lame.
Now at 49 almost 50 is ok. Only way I’d want to go back to then is if I can take all the knowledge I’ve learned with me. The age with the knowledge is better than being young again.

And funny you ask that question, I’ve been thinking about how 21 is the ideal age. I’m eighteen now, and I’m pretty chuffed with that… but people don’t take me serious enough unless I am a legal adult.

i can’t think of the best year. i can think of the worst year so far or worst birthday. most birthdays seem pretty good at the time. although the older i get the more boring the days seems to be. my worst birthday was my 21st.

24 was a good age for me, 17 was even better. 13 was good to me too. Oh, and 19, I made the most money I had ever made.
It’s hard to say. 21 was a lot more lame than I thought it would be but the latter half of 22 was awesome as was the latter half of 23 and most of 24 was incredible. Parts of 23 were pretty traumatic. I find that the years with the most ups and downs were the best.
29 and 30 were pretty level. 31 is shaping out to be fairly standard (if somewhat more staid than I’d like).

I’d say my favorite age thus far (since I’m only 24) has been this age. I’m married to an amazing man, I have one daughter and a son on the way.. my life has finally settled down and I’m happier then I’ve ever been.

i didn’t go through all that emotional drama stuff. i was given just enough responsibility that i wasn’t way tooo overwhelmed. i was given enough freedom to do all that i wanted. things were simpler then….plus i had great skin then too:P hehehe

I just turned 50 a month ago. Honestly, it did not have any effect on me. I don’t feel like I am “an age”. I will say, I’m more comfortable in my own skin than I’ve ever been. I don’t need to impress anyone (not that I could-even if I tried)! I do like who I am these days! Even when others don’t!
I’m nearing the end of my 30th year and it has been one amazing year. The toughest year yet. The most beautiful year yet.

I would have to say my favorite age is 20. I’m 24 now but whenever people ask me I want to blurt out 20, it’s like my brain has gotten stuck in a time warp or something. I suppose it could be because that’s when my family moved out of the house we had lived in for 16 years, that could be why my brain has gotten stuck on me being 20 and my brother being 12 (he’s now 17).
I like now. Actually, I think I like “now” every year. I’m not sure I’ll ever have a favorite – they keep getting better (for the most part). I can pick out favorite days in my life or least favorite times, but not a complete favorite year.
Eight grade was pretty much the best year ever, so far, so that would be mostly 13.
