Nope, stayed at home and finished up two short stories though.
Yes’m I did shop, it’s all on my post.
was home sleeping
Yes, but I took a decent paintball gun with me in case anyone tried to take something I’d just paid for.
No way. I slept in.
My mom forced me to go once several years and I will never do it again.
negatory
no, i never have. and after what happened at the Long Island Wal-Mart, I never will.
i wish. i kinda live for this day
Yes. And the blood on the walmart floors worried me…
that little kid should not have been out today. neither should have any of the other little ones i saw. not in that mess. i worked. on my lunch i did grab a few things though. tomorrow i’m going to return some. just like all the other idiots that don’t know their sizes.
nope I did not………….I buy online…….hugs.
Yes, and I got some great deals…almost all electronically-based, lol, but it was a nightmare! You couldn’t tell the economy was suffering after what I saw this morning…people lined from the door of a Super Wal-Mart to the very last aisle in the store. 2.5 hours was all I could stand, lol, and my credit card, rofl,
Nope. Went to see Quantum Solace.
HA. I’ve spent all day inside studying.
no
Sure did. 6am-9am, before I had to work. The only place that was really packed was Kohls. I hate slow shoppers.
nope
I vowed not to, but then I got tempted out of hibernation by the offer of a better phone, only to have my hopes dashed. grr…
That’s a cute photo!
No, I didn’t, it was no special shopping day here.
Nice picture of a black child to talk about “Black Friday”
successssss!
Yes i did from 4am to 730am and then came home b/c i hadnt been to sleep from the night b4….i hosted thanksgiving at my house and had 77 guests….talk about exhausted when i got home …whew lol
Nope.
No, I went looking, though.
Nopee. I may try it one day, but I have a feeling the experience won’t go over well for me, with all the crowds and whatnot. Hah
Nope!
I work in retail, and it was annoyingly busy. Not as bad as previous Black Fridays, though. I’m sure it’s got a lot to do with the economy. I hear the only sales that aren’t doing poorly are booze sales. Everybody’s still getting drunk, I guess, but Christmas presents take a back seat in their priorities.
Nope (and it would appear from tonight’s news that I made a good decision).
I worked all day…
No way; any shopping I do for Christmas will be done online. I hate crowded stores.
yep, we hit walmart up since chris didn’t have to work. we had a lot of fun since basically every person that he knew was working and we had a map of where stuff was going to be… lol. my christmas shopping is done! yay! we went to kmart just for kicks but they didn’t have anything good. we really did have fun.
No way!
Everyone else in my house did, but not me. I’m pretty sure I had a better time staying home and doing the laundry and ironing.
hell no!!
Yes, it was fun.
My wonderful, precious boyfriend went and stood in line for me at Aafes and got me a new laptop! What a sweetheart!
Maybe I should post a pic of a white guy and then talk about crackers.
Nah, daughter & I stayed in and slept while hubby & son went out at 4:30 this morning to tackle the insanity. Oh they LOVE it! lol They actually witnessed two grown women fighting over a pack of bed sheets…can you believe it?
Heck no. Some employee at a Walmart in NY got trampled to death. That’s ridiculous.
I’m not crazy. The after Christmas sale lines are much better than Thanksgiving ones.
Yeah, didn’t really find anything though. It’s all the same stuff as last time.
no
no way! people are getting trampled to death at wal mart and shot to death at toys r us. My ass is stayin’ home today!
I was too scared by the guy who died at Walmart from the overwhelming crowd of shoppers to shop.
oh no way…I stayed home all day…taint getting into that there madness…lol…smile
Yep, I spent too long in a store and nearly passed out when I went outside.
I got what I wanted :] I’m happy.
I did, though I don’t usually. We only went to a mall and there wasn’t much worth buying.
sure did got up at 3am and waited in line like all the other crazy people……spent more than I should have but hell someone has to get the economy going……….
Yeah, but of my $500 spending limit I only spent $50… it wasn’t so fun after all. *shrugs* After a while material things stop making you happy, I guess.
I’m not a big shopper but I took my daughter to a movie tonight at our new theater. It’s located across the street from a new store that had a big ol’ buy one get one half off sale…I did…I bought one or two or three actually!
I would have, if I didn’t have all my exams to study for. I like Black Friday shopping.
Nope. Not keen to be trampled. Worked instead at a store with very little traffic.
nope i had to work that day fuck i hate humans and there fucking adults they act just as bad as kids do.
No way!
Nope. I hate crowds. That’s why I do the little amount of shopping I do online. No lines, no waiting, no crowds, no driving!
NO. WELL, IF YOU COUNT MY TRIP TO DOLLAR GENERAL ABOUT 30 MINUTES AGO TO BUY TOOTHPASTE, THEN YES.
I totally did. I painted up in blackface, stole a tire, and bought grape soda
Yep. Left at 6:30am and came home around 12pm. Long day for my mom and I but we’re happy with our purchases!
haha yes! Dan you’re too funny…love the black kid. and not unless you count a blizzard at DQ
@RdKingClassic03 - That’s what I thought. I’m broke so I won’t do any shopping but I never shop anyway.
How about donating can goods to the church or giving 30-50 bucks to the less fortunate through a charity? If anyone learned anything from this economic crisis is that material things aren’t that important. Feed a starving child.
online
yes i did! and then lines were no trouble at all! i was shocked!
Stopped at Target on the way back from the Y. Just for essentials though. Dryer sheets. And my hair is getting long so I had to invest in a brush/comb…I haven’t used one of those in almost a year!
No, but my mom did. I worked.
Nope, we don’t have Black Friday in Canada.
Yes.
No shopping here unfortunately — Maybe I’ll hit the stores next year bright and early. After reading the horrid Wal-mart story – it makes me re-evaluate the whole black-friday shopping rave.
I bought milk and catfood. I thought those aisles would be safe enough to walk down.
Only for groceries!
Hells no.
BLACK FRIDAY YEAAAH NIGGAAAAZ FO SHOOOO!
Barf. No. I hate the crowds & the general insanity that is Black Friday.
Nope. I don’t know if I ever will. We can clearly see the total disregard people have for anything but the “stuff” they want, by seeing what 200 people did to a man at walmart. eh…. “Black Friday”, a very appropriate term for it!!
nooooooooo way!
i did. but i didnt go out until like 9am.
Nope. Just vegged in front of the TV & computer. My wife went out though, & said it was NOT the usual insanity.
Sure did, and got some nice deals on gifts. I am a really good shopper so the crowds don’t phase me. I didn’t even get up early either.
lol never have
I think I’ll eventually buy stuff on Black friday…but not just yet!
Indeed I did and I suceeded.
oh yes, ONLINE- screw them lines and running out of the size and color you want ++25% off purchases online. then to the thrift store where everything was half off there to buy some 50 cent vinyls
no. my mom did though.
Yes, and succeeded!
Also, you don’t have to get out earlye in the morning to snag good deals- we didn’t get to the mall until around noon and still did pretty well for ourselves. I think at that point all the crazy people have cleared out and it’s less violent, too… :p
I’m an idiot… I went to Macy’s in Chicago on Black Friday. What the heck was I thinking?
NO!
I worked at best buy 4am-630 fucking pm
Yes, I went grocery shopping at Walmart. There wasn’t anymore people there than usual. But there was a shitload of product that walmart was trying to sell blocking up the lane between foods and cleaning supplies. It didn’t seem many were buying though.
I shopped online.
That little girl in the picture looks like she is trying to hide. I don’t blame her. Black Friday is scary. People are…fools.
I probably would have- I *love* saving money- but my mother didn’t want to. XP
hell no. i think all those 4am shoppers are freaking psychotic.
i went to little rock for the UA-LSU game and it was INSANITY.
Yes, for the first time in my life. I got up at 4:00 in the morning to be at a sale. Lines, lines, lines. But everyone was orderly and waited nicely.
Yup but I miss the $249 Wii at Wallie World.
No! This is the first black friday I haven’t had to work in YEARS! And the only reason I’m not working is because I’m still on medical leave from child birth complications.
Nope.
Are you crazy?
ROFL, nice picture.
Did you hear about the employee that got killed in a Wal-Mart, trampled to death by people wanting to get in? :/
sadly no. my plan was to get in early, grab the most popular stuff and walk around the store for a few hours with it in my cart, then leave it at the front of the store.
yep!! And we got a Gateway Laptop for $499 and a Ralph Lauren Sport Coat for $79.00 normally $295.00….we had a great time! Black Friday can be fun.
yes but it wasn’t that good this year
yes I did…had alot of fun!
woke up at 3 in the morning to get to walmart at 4 am. It was fun but very exhausting right after. lol
Went to Hubbards like 4 times but I don’t think that’s what you mean. And the liquor store and stuff…but it’s not like it mattered here…
nahhh. a couple sales isn’t worth it. i prefer not to get trampled to death.
I did go to target around lunchtime and just got some house slippers, but my mom got a cartload of stuff including a GPS, which is cool. I cannot believe that that guy got stampeded to death, though. It’s terrible.
i got better deals from amazon.com than those who went shopping at 4am. =) i bought the itouch for $200 versus circuit city and best buy at $229.00… and with free shipping! saved $$$ and did it from the comfort of my chair at 7pm!

consume, kill, destroy, shiny, new, death, aseptic, crowded, breathing heavy, compassion gone, a sick twisted grimace, destroy, consume, save, repeat. destroy. save, buy. consume. eat. love. fuck. Destroy. Consume. Kill.

No. But I read from the news that someone working at Wal-Mart got killed from the mass mob breaking through on Black Friday. http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2008/11/28/2008-11-28_worker_dies_at_long_island_walmart_after.html
The man was 34 years old.
Something is very wrong here.
A man died because of “Out-of-Control” shoppers.
hellz yea
I was at Kmart at 4:45 am. I was 4th in line
I did get everything I wanted too
then I went to target, walmart, and a local store after that
oh at our walmart a worker got trampled and some lady had a heart attack (or so I heard while waiting in the kmart line)
No. ..
But someone died at my local walmart…a worker got trampled, he then experienced a heart attack, then died a hour later…
So not worth any sale…
never went on that day, and perhaps never will
Yup! but after I worked. I was pretty happy having shopped a few days before since most black friday sales started early ^^
No way! I don’t want to run the risk of getting trampled.
I did go shopping in the early afternoon. Got some movies.
ugh, if i sleep earlier next year, maybe i’ll joing in. though white elephant will probably be the 4×4 killer for me this year anywho
AHAHAHA. how racist.
oh no, i didn’t want to be trampled to death.
happy belated birthday by the way!!
hell yeah. Woke at 3, shopped from 4-9:30
Hell no! I worked instead…but my boyfriend sent me pictures of a store at 6am…jam packed with crazies.
I work retial, so no, I was at work. My boyfriend said the sales weren’t that great though. Anyone have any great luck? My theory was the economy.
Too scared of being trampled,mobbed,etc.
Unfortunately, I was working all day.
