Having Sex With a Mannequin
If you are a teacher, it is perfectly safe to pretend to have sex with a mannequin.
A teacher went to a bachelorette party and pretending to perform a sexual act on a mannequin. A person took a photo and posted it online without her permission. The photo circulated at the school and she was fired. The courts eventually ruled she could not be fired for that reason. Here is the link: Link
Should a teacher be fired for performing a sexual act on a mannequin?

As long as she doesn’t do it within the vicinity of the school, no.
Not if it was consensual.
*face palm* rather a mannequin than an underage student. and seriously? all kinds of crazy stuff goes down at bachelorette parties. it wouldn’t be fun if it wasn’t crazy! her friends probably thought it was hilarious, and then someone has to go and ruin it. i hate people -_- why should she be fired? it’s not like she was doing anything with it in the school or around a student.
She should be fired for being so stupid.
@TheSutraDude - perfect answer
no. lol wtf? it’s a BACHELORETTE PARTY, and its a MANNEQUIN. *sigh*
She was having fun, it was a mannequin…seriously..that’s one of the stupidest things I’ve heard all day.
It was a party. As long as she doesn’t get caught doing anything illegal at a party then I see no need for schools to get so snippy.
Who gives a shit?
I hope that’s what the judge said.
@XXskinnymetalXX - lol. I’ll take a bow.
It could have been worse.
If only the Mannequin could talk
I’m not sure why you’d WANT to do that…
As long as it’s not in front of his/her students… what the teacher does in his or her private time is his or her business.
If that happened to me and I was a teacher, considering the humilation. I would fire myself.
No, because they were obviously both dummies.
@Gaijinsays - Sex between two consenting dummies. Now it all makes sense: NOT GUILTY!
Ha ha ha…no
what a douche friend.
I don’t know. I give up. Humanity is hopelessly stupid.
What she did on her own time is her business. Would they fire a teacher for being gay? People do all kinds of strange things at parties. While that was a mannequin, in the future, there will be actual robots and other AI that people can relate to, there are already chat and cyber bots online, and fully operational” dolls” that people are using now for” acts”. It is just something else that people will see perfected in the future.
This is vincent:http://www.pandorabots.com/pandora/talk?botid=87395fcdfe35bc4dhe is a bot, but his rating is pg 13, he is still in training. I’m still making changes in his programing. he is not a cyber bot, but there are some already out there.
I mean, no. But nobody should be posting that on facebook.
I’m going to be a teacher (still in college…) and I neeeeeeevverrr want pictures that could be incriminating to me on facebook or anywhere for that matter.
@anaraug - Me too.
It was a freaking bachelorette party. Jesus.
@LoBornlytesThoughtPalace -
She should be fired for being so stupid.
And you should know, being a former teacher ‘n all.
No.
Mannequins don’t have “parts”, now if it was a sextoy…
Man, there should be a feature on Facebook that locks out underage students from seeing their teacher’s sites. Heck, I’d use it and I’m not a teacher.
As long as she’s not doing it in the classroom or in front of a student.
It wasnt in school or during class – so the answer is no.
If the mannequin didn’t consent, would that be considered statue-tory rape?
This is an old story.
Its her life. Its not like she was doing it during teaching hours.
thats sucks she was just having fun with her friends
It was meant to be fun and a joke, and “PRETENDING.”
@CheckieEatsOrganicPoptarts - Nice.
That reminds me of this song I have about loving a mannequin… lol
I think the courts were correct though, she shouldn’t be fired
So teacher’s can’t have a personal life? Fucking idiots.
the law is taking life/jobs way to seriously nowerdays!
I don’t know about the teacher, but I think a lawsuit ought to be brought against the manufacturer of the manikin for not providing a warning label on the product. “This product is intended for use in store displays only and is not intended to mimic sexually explicit activity. Misuse may cause public humiliation and termination of employment.”
That’s funny. Now, what did the male teachers think of it? They probably want some of the action.
@TheSutraDude - LOL!
I disagree with firing people for something posted online without their permission.
No, because she obviously did it as a joke and nothing more. Now if she raped a small petting zoo, that would be a case for firing.
Simple. If a teacher is going to be fired for doing something that I would not be fired for, then he or she should be paid a lot more money than I am paid. Why should teachers be expected to live differently than the rest of us? And what the hell is wrong with a little sex?
Notice that she did not take the picture, nor did she post it on the internet. If anyone is fired, it should be the person that posted it.
Are we to require that teachers never have sex? Are we to require that teachers never have fun with sex?
Our society is so sick when it comes to judging people because of sex.
Nah. Theoretically, should we fire her for having photos of her deep-throating a banana popping up on the “Interwebs” without her consent?
I don’t “get” the way that certain people (politicians, teachers, etc..) are supposed to not have private lives all of a sudden. And why some people don’t have the common sense to say, “Hey, so-and-so is a teacher…maybe I should at least ask her before I post this questionable photo of her for all the world to see…” D’uh! On both counts. I don’t think she should have been fired.
Teachers and politicians aren’t allowed to have any sort of social/sex life… duh. JK, but in all honesty… wtf? Who cares.
@filtered_sunlight@momaroo - lol! i just said the same thing. but i didn’t read the previous comments, so i didn’t realize you posted it… sorry! but for real..
@ralahinn1 - Um, actually yeah. Teachers can get fired for being gay.
they should take a peek at some of the STUDENTS’ pictures. i’m sure there’s worse.
Well think of it this way. The kids really aren’t going to respect her or really be taught anything to her after seeing that picture. So really, whether it’s just or not, she can no longer teach those students (presuming they saw the picture). She can try, but honestly, there’s only one thing those kids are going to be thinking about now when they see her face.
No, it’s not fair. Of course her personal life should be kept separate from her professional life. But shit happens.
@TheSutraDude - ha.
@mangiarelamerda - LOL Great minds…
No.
And when did she give consent to have her picture taken and distributed? Damn.
at a bachelorette party?! no way! that’s totally separate from the teacher’s professional realm and the photo poster busted a few taboos. i understand why the school would want to fire the teacher, because that sort of thing taints the school reputation when made public, but i think the blame (and consequences) should have been aimed at the photo poster, not the teacher.
I think all teachers should sign a agreement just like athletes do. It call a misconduct clause. It reads that if you do anything that you do stupid your fired. Teachers want to be professional and get all the benefits just like professional athletes then they need to act the part, if not get the heck out and go work at a strip bar
No, but she should certainly play with the privacy settings on Facebook or wherever the photo was posted. Her friend was also in the wrong by posting something like that on the Internet without asking. Surely the friend knew she was a teacher and could have gotten in trouble.
why do they care what she does after school? her personal life should not be punnished at the school. For exaple, at my niece’s school, he got suspended for haveing a hikkie on his neck! He didn’t do it at school, so why do they care?!?

haha
It’s a Mannequin. At a party. It wasn’t like she was doing it to a real human >_<
i want the picture…
I’d have some hefty words for the person who put that photo online anyways…damn digital camera’s. Somethings are better left to just memory.
