More seriously, with Malaysian, Dan most certainly meant Malaysian nationality and ethnicity. Even more so, than Malaysia, America is multi-cultural. Here, a black man or an Asian woman who reside in the country are as much an American as a Native America or a White American. The embedded racism in your comment is disgusting and offensive.
I would hope that in Malaysia, ethnic Chinese and Indians aren’t racially singled out and discriminated by the majority Malays.
