  • Your Maximum Weight

I think everyone has a weight that makes them feel fat.

It is that weight you know you can’t go over.  It is the weight that once you go over, you know you need to start losing weight.

What is the weight that makes you feel fat?

  • If I’m OVER 9000!

  • It was about 15-20 pounds ago. So I’m a little late to my wake-up call.

They say you gain weight when you’re in love. Now that I’ve been married a year, I’m so ready to get back on the horse.

  • I suppose when my weight becomes disproportionate to my height

  • Hm, I might get flack for this but considering I have a small frame, 120.

  • The weight that I am now.

  • Never had one of those since I can’t gain weight. I max out at 105. But 105 is a goal rather than a negative.

  • 114 – I just hit this weight recently, can’t tell if I gained body fat since my injury or muscle from cross training.
    I miss being 110

  • What a shitty post!  Strike 2, Dan.

  • 165 is the heaviest I’ve been. I’m 130 now and it suits me.

  • any weight. I always feel fat :P

  • 240.
    30 pounds to go, baby!

  • it hit me when i was at 176lbs.. and took action and now in the process of losing the excess pounds..

  • Over 130lbs, and that’s my current weight. It’s time to hit the gyms, but I am not feeling motivated.

  • Strangely enough, I am at the heaviest that I’ve ever been (113 lbs), but that’s solely because of the muscle I’ve developed from going to the gym. I felt fatter when I was 105 lbs without the gym. I’d say 120 lbs is a weight that would concern me. (I am only 4’10″, by the way.)

  • 150… I weighed as much as 172 before.  I’m at just under 120 right now.  Well, I just ate so maybe 120 right now.  lol  I’m only 5′, so I’ve gotta lose a few pounds.

  • I was a little over 140 at my heaviest, lost a little more than 25 lbs.  I was sick recently and had way to much on my plate for a while so wasn’t able to concentrate on myself and getting my butt to the gym so I’m hovering at around 120 right now.  It’s not too bad since I’m 5’2″-5’3″-ish and a decent portion of that weight would be muscle…but I’m aiming to lose around 10 lbs or so. =)

  • 160. I’m 5’10 and don’t have a petite frame unfortunately, but I really want to be thin and I freak out if I see I’m anywhere near 160. Which is unpleasant since college put me at 150. -sigh-

  • I have gotten up to 30 above right now but 150.  I had a bad injury to my knee, stress related eating and a shit ton of stress and I had a baby and it changed my bone structure.  I’m trying to lose weight but the more I exercise, watch what I eat and diet, the more I’m gaining.

  • I’m a little over 6’1″ and around 225. I was a skinny guy at 185 and gained 40 lbs in a short period of time. I keep things in moderation to try and keep from going over the 230 mark.

    So 230 for me.

  • The most I’ve ever weighed was 115. That’s considered “healthy” for my height, but I felt so pudgy. So anything above 110 is my max. As long as I’m 100 or below, I’m .

  • 111 (I am short though)

  • I’m 5’8. I think I look best at about 130. My lowest recent weight was 123, but I think I look too boney at that weight and I lose my curves. And I don’t like hitting 135.

  • 105 – but Im a small girl

  • I felt pretty fat at 210. Pregnancy can do a number on the body.

  • Anything over 125. But especially 130.

  • @NoReasonToGoOn88 - on my side of the family is the opposite haha you gain when you are not in love. When one is preoccupied and in that love transe they either forget to eat or it just doesn’t matter to them. It has happened to me before.

  • Well, the reason I weigh what I do now is because I had three kids in four years and got sidetracked with losing the weight from having them. My youngest is now 10 years old. Hitting 148 after the summer from hell last year and realizing that none of the new clothes I bought after I moved to Nashville actually fit anymore… That was kind of a wake up call. Now I’m going to the Y five days a week, doing Zumba (which is hysterical) with a friend, lifting weights two or three days a week. For the last two weeks I’ve been going back and forth between 145 and 132… which is quite a big swing, but a lot of it has been water. I would like to get back down to about 115-120… I’m only 5’3″ ish.. so that’s acceptable for my height.

  • @Shadowrunner81 - Finally a guy answered!

  • I was 220 lbs and now I’m 150 lbs. Still feel fat but no way like before.

  • i don’t know and i don’t care i know i’m SEXY i love my fat and i love being a REAL WOMAN with CURVES!!!1

  • my current weight.

  •   That is interesting i dont even know how much i weigh. Roughly between 100 and 200 for sure.

  • I am a male and cannot seem to put on weight,   we all eat well my parents don’t rarely put on weight.

    I think I am currently 7.5 stone

  • Mine would be 140. I’m 130 now, but trying to get back to 120. Cutting back on the midnight snacking would probably help -_-

  • My weight fluctuates a lot, though I try not to weight myself too often. However, it’s typically around 149~, and it’s the first time I’ve actually been proactive in losing the weight (eating right, for once, which is something I’ve had trouble with). Also, daily exercise helps as it is somewhat mandatory (I bike to work).

  • So, this is a blog post designed to make people feel fat as they scroll through the comments? Anyway, mine is 160. I wonder how short and/or light-framed some of these people are to start feeling fat at 114.

  • My never go over it weight was about 20 pounds ago, but since I am recovering from an ED, I don’t really have the option of trying to lose it right now. So, now I’m stuck at 300 pounds and too fat to love. Yay me. Not.

  • There isn’t one. At the moment I’m the heaviest I’ve been in a while but I’m also the fittest I’ve been in a long time. I’m happy and healthy and that’s more important than some numbers on a scale.

  • when I hit 130, I start getting nervous.  When I get over 150, my skin rips apart (happened due to meds).  Without meds, I won’t naturally get above 130 though because I just don’t get any fatter.

  • @daydreams_nightmares - are you aging because that happens once you hit your mid-20s…  I didn’t really change sizes.  I’m just all around thicker.

  • 154 for me I was flirting with that number on the scales but am starting to pull myself together and lose the weight. I never want to see 154 on the scales.

  • My current idea is being so thin that men say “well we don’t like you THAT way either”, and I say “haha well then fuck YOU not me”. When you are skinny you can say that without being ridiculed by people like Dan, but when you are chubby no one takes you seriously. I think  it would be between 90 and 100 pounds for my height but 60 is safer.

  • If I’m over 135, I feel “fat” I guess. But, I’ve been training for this half marathon and my weight always goes up while I’m training. Weird.

  • That was 30 lbs ago for me. I’m 5’3″ and I don’t aspire to be super skinny or anything. I think that stick-thin women look sickly and I don’t want to be that way. Plus, I love my curves. However, at 165, I KNOW I’m overweight and I feel overweight. Those lbs have got to go, but I’m going to do it the right way, the hard way. I would rather look good with lots of “heavy” muscle than be at a certain number and still feel terrible. This is going to be a lifestyle change for me, better eating and more hard workouts. It’s not about a number on a scale, it’s about the way I feel. Right now, I feel awful so I’m going to change things.

  • my body fluctuates from 103-117 constantly lol, and my sizes or proportions never change. It’s strange bc that’s a pretty big gap. Anywho, the heaviest I’ve ever been is 120 and I don’t think I could ever let myself past 117 lol (even if I tried)

  • 120 is a good weight (pretty much the range of 110-120 ) since I’m only 5′ …I’m 135 right now so gotta lose another 15 pounds then I’ll feel normal

  • 107…  That’s because I’m barely 5,1″. I was 98-100 during my pre-mommy days.  I’m about 110 right now so I’m trying to get down to, at least, 102-105 (not havn’ much luck).  Ok, I’m not *really* trying, but I shall begin trying starting………. today.

  • Wow, all of these comments are just an exercise in perception and/or personal standards (for the commenter).

    Interesting.

  • I don’t really know, to be honest. I am usually 120, which is just fine by me. Post pregnancy, I’m sitting at 137 and I feel fine about it. So I don’t know what I would consider a maximum weight.

  • At 115, I start feeling fat. And hitting 120 is outright forbidden.

    (I’m really short.)

  • Well as I’m only about 5’2, I’m all about staying in the 120s-130s range.  Anything above that is not okay for me.  Conversely, anything under 115 is way too small for anyone my size.

  • 115 starts making me feel too big. I’m generally 110. Most I’ve been is around 127. I have a small frame and I’m 5’3″.

  • Haven’t ever reached it. The most I’ve ever been is 132, and I thought it looked good on me. I don’t really know what it would be. Maybe about 145, since I’m 5’8″ and have a small frame.

  • If i go over 110 I start feeling “fat”! But i know at 5’6″ that’s probably not reality… I wish I could be ok with 115-120 i think that would be a healthier goal…

  • I feel like you’ve asked this before or something similar. I think somehow I maintain the same body figure, I don’t pay so much attention to my weight as a number as much as the shape and how comfortable I am. I think more or less it’s a pant size and shirt size I try to maintain, haha.

  • Any weight that makes my pants feel tight these days. (I’m working my way down from 450 Pounds. I’m considerably less than that, but I am still working my way down…)

  • Well, I always feel the fattest at about 9 months pregnant. :)
I’m tall @ nearly 5′ 7″, so my ideal weight is about 135. I’m only a couple pounds over that and working on getting it down, maybe to 132 or so. I was up to 150 after the birth of my second daughter, and hated it, so that’s about when I would start completely flipping out, cutting calories, and working out.

  • Anything over what I was yesterday!

  • I’m at 162 right now.  The highest I’ve been is 175.  I didn’t feel fat at either.

  • In my defective little head, I am uncomfortable being over 100.

In my logical self, I probably would not want to go over 120.

  • I think I’ve passed my maximum a long time ago.

  • I’ve gone over … :D

  • I’m 4’8″ and have been 115 for the last couple years, but 130 makes me feel “fat” even though I don’t look the part.

  • probably around 105 pounds. I just stay under 100 pounds…usually 94-96.

  • My maximum weight is ten minutes. If I’m not approached by a waiter by then, I go elsewhere. And seeing that by then, I’m often too late for another restaurant, I lose wait.

  • 125-130, but I’ve been as heavy as 164..that was a huuuge reality check when I saw that on the scale.

  • I think people need to stop focusing on what weight they want/need to be at, and focus more on body %. I weigh more than my “goal” weight, but I look so much better than at my goal weight because I now have a lower body fat percentage.

  • 125 is the highest I’ll go before I think, “whoa dude, too much McD’s!”

    I’m usually 115-120.

  • I’ve always been fat, and I don’t think that will ever change.  However, anytime I get near (or over) 300 pounds, I feel miserable.  The BMI chart says I should be 160, and that is just impossible.

  • I’d have to say 130. I’m 145 now… >.<

  • 175 is my point where I cross it and realize it’s time to lose weight. 10 pounds and counting right now. Woot.

  • 120. I have a small frame.

  • Sometimes I feel fat and sometimes I don’t even if I didn’t gain or lose an ounce.  Wonder why?

  • I’ve never actually been fat. people very often tell me that I look so skinny. the only asshole that has told me that I look fat is my grandma LOL

  • I’m usually at 87-89

Due to my small frame/height, I feel I wouldn’t look right over 92 so that’s the max

  • when my BMI indicates that I am overweight

  • I find it easy to lose weight, so.. my weight fluctuates … when I’m depressed I gain more but I just have to do aerobics to lose the weight.

  • 150 is max… am working on trimming down and getting lean! whoohoo

  • Actually it isn’t the weight for me… It’s the pants size… I was a smaller pants size before I had my kids but weighed exactly what I do now before I had them.

Size 8 is what makes me feel fat. I’m a 9/10 now.

  • 160. I’m currently 237. No matter how hard I try, I cannot lose weight. (One word: prednisone)

So, I’ve decided that all f*cks have already been given and I’m totally out. I’m going to enjoy life just the way I am and the world can deal with it. I have arthritis. I hurt a lot. I take meds that make me gain weight. Deal.

  • 120-125.  I’m about 117 now.  At one point I was 140, and I’m glad I’m far below that.  I’m 5’4″, so I think I’m at a good weight now.

  • 156.  I’m 147 now and eat amusingly large amounts of food in order not to lose more weight.  I’m 5’7″

  • I don’t change weight very much… right now I’m somewhere around 160-165 (as I have been for like… 8 years)… and even if I got to 170, I’d feel like that was bad.

  • 280 and I’ll start to look and see if it is muscle or fat.  I’m 6’6″ and I deliver furniture/appliances, so I’ve bulked up a lot since I started.  The BMI index seems to be quite flawed the taller you get, so I don’t consider it at all.

  • At 115 lbs I start to think that I need to go on a diet but I don’t start freaking out till I am 120+

I’m still young though so maybe in the future I wouldn’t mind be in the 120′s

  • 155 was my wake-up call, but I still feel like I could shed another 10-15 at 140.

But I can’t ignore my muscle mass, since I do a lot of strength training. Or my boobs. DD’s baby!
