Are You a Xanga Diehard?
I was reading a pulse by dw817 about how she just became “Xanga True.”
“Xanga True” is when you. . . Well, I am not really sure what you have to do to become “Xanga True.” But I think you have to post and comment a bunch of times.Then you have those who get Premium for Life.Then you have those people that are just here every day and post and comment everyone.Are you a xanga diehard?

Yes, I guess you could say I am. I don’t have FB (never have). I don’t have MySpace (never did). And so on… I’m faithful to Xanga. My allegiance is TRUE.
I am a true. I noticed a bunch of people had true badges and I wanted one, so I messaged the xanga team

I’m a True and Lifetime member. I post daily, and don’t get involved with the bad drama that can sometimes go around. (Which I think helped to become True.) So yes, I think I’m a diehard member.

I doubt I will ever comment enough, or maintain a regular blogging to attain true status. I have been a lifetime member for a long time though. I have been using Xanga since 2003 and I intend to continue.

I really want Lifetime premium but I can’t afford it

Absotivelyposolutly NOT. I’ve been accused of being delusional, so it is possible.
I’ve been on Xanga in this guise for just over six years, but I’ve had accounts on this site for close to ten years. I’m also eligible for the True badge, but haven’t gotten around to applying for it; not really something I’m all that stoked for I guess.
I wouldn’t say I’m a diehard in the sense that I think Xanga is the best thing ever invented, but I do plan to be on here until they pull the plug and it’s hard for me to imagine blogging anywhere else. I will go down with the metaphorical ship.

Which one of those is the definition of a diehard? I usually look in everyday,even though I don’t always comment. And I don’t always post everyday anymore. I may have lost my diehard status

Been here for 10 years now. Dabbled in LiveJournal, MySpace blogging, Blogspot, and Tumblr. This is the only site that feels like home.
Don’t have any of that True/Premium For Life shit though.

I used to be here all the time, but the community’s just not as active as it once was… Or maybe it is, but not the people that I paid close attention to.

I don’t think I am a diehard. I do have a soft spot for this place though. It’s been quite a long time I’ve been here, since I was in middle school.
I am. Next October will be my 10th Xangaversary, yay.

I got my true badge years ago…. I think I had to reach so many comments or something, I don’t remember. I love xanga. It’s not what it used to be, but I’ve tried moving my blog to other sites before and I just didnt like it.

I’m a true member. (I applied because I have been blogging since 2004). I wouldn’t say I’m a ‘xanga diehard’. I don’t post very often these days. Maybe I would if my life were more interesting. Right now I blog about my sadness as an unemployed person!
I am still a Xanga diehard, I have tried Facebook, Myspace, Twitter etc, but some reason Xanga for me is the best (the social sites which hardly ever get featured in the news) I like.

i still comment but no posts anymore. The friend who introduced me to xanga has long been gone from xanga. And the friends I introduced to xanga are long gone too. Some of them even got LIFE! What do i get? Nothing

Between posting and commenting from late 2005-7 and now 11-12, I earned a True Badge. I also have premium. I don’t really consider myself a diehard though.
A decade here. I had premium for life before premium for life, as most people know it now, existed. I don’t consider myself a diehard though.
I’m getting there. The validation is really helping me at this point in my life…
I’m here almost everyday at least for a check-in on my feedback. I ‘explore’ a lot and try to widen my circle… I love to comment and read others blogs.
Making new connections is my favorite part.

I am most definitely a diehard Xanga user. I am Xanga TRUE on multiple accounts because I just love Xanga. Wish I had Lifetime Premium though…

Super diehard, most of my blogs are paid for. I have tried a lot of blogs, Xanga is the best all around hard to beat blogging platform I’ve experimented on.

Good question. I was wondering if someone actually reads the form. It seems to be a bit of a dreary task and I’m not sure if the Xanga Team actually has time for that.
No, it’s just one of the trips on my daily trek through the internet. Took me 10 years to get the True badge.

As for being a diehard (hardcore ?) Xangan. Yes. I think I put enough time and effort into it I definitely qualify for that. And – that’s fine. I like Xanga. It’s a good system, good friends, and an amazing way to meet and greet people all across the planet !
I like the diversity and university they have created here.
If you’re curious I started out in May of 2012 and have been going strong ever since.

While I would like to believe they base this on quality rather than quantity of your writing and commenting and replying in Xanga, I suspect the only way they can check it technically and automatically is the latter.
I always like to believe I write quality comments, but I could be wrong.

Honestly, this is the first comment that I think I have made on someone else’s Xanga in quite a while.
My Xanga is 8 years and 1 month old. I have been faithful to it for as long as I can remember, even if I did go back and delete the majority of my posts from high school.
I don’t comment, I don’t expect comments, I don’t even know that anyone knows that my Xanga even exists… but I think that I am a diehard because I have stuck with it.
@dw817 - Yea, still says I’m eligible, but I wonder if perhaps my credit rating or driving record isn’t good enough to actually get it? UGH. Is it just me that this is happening too?

@dw817 - Well, if they are basing the application on quality, rather than quantity, then I would understand, but if you want to put in a recommendation, that would be wonderful. I would just like to know what it is I’m doing wrong.

@olwd - The one thing that stands out they don’t like is when you use ad-blockers on your site and they said you cannot be TRUE if you do this. I’m not and I am suspecting you aren’t either so you are clear of that.
Other than that, I wrote them on your behalf. If accepted they will either write ME or YOU so you need to check your Email occasionally for notices from them and I will certainly let you know if they write me.

i think xanga has the easiest blogging platform compared to other sites. it also introduced me to good friends and inspires me to write, so i’m sticking to it. xanga4lyfe.
