Baths and Showers
I have always taken baths and I rarely take a shower. The germ phob of me does come out when people mention you are just bathing in your own dirt. But it is an issue of habit.

Both. Showers when I’m getting ready for the day…baths when I want to soak in the tub and read a good book.
You don’t shower in the mornings? I take showers; quicker, less water. Baths are nice for relaxing but when actually washing, a bit disgusting as you mentioned

My grandma thinks that taking showers (as opposed to baths) will give you cancer.

I always take a shower. I’m not a huge fan of baths, to be honest. Ha!

@crazy2love - It’s so easy to get lost in a book while taking a bath! And then turning the water back on when the original water starts to get cold? I love it!

Shower all the time.
Geez, I can’t remember the last time I had a bath and relaxed in it… that makes me sad

I go through a car wash.
@kkrriiissyy - Because in Germany everyone takes baths and no one gets cancer in Germany. Alternatively, my grandmother is just insane.

Showers. I like my water really warm, almost hot, and I find that bathwater gets cold too quickly for my liking. Plus it’s too difficult to wash long hair in a bath. And if I have to shave my legs I’d rather not sit in a bath full of hairs.
Shower. It’s too hard to masturbate in the bath.
Can’t remember the last time I had a bath. I fear my tub is not clean enough for me to feel clean sitting on it naked. Usually I just run out naked in the rain and maybe bring a bar of soap. Natural is best.

Showers are great for every day. Baths are more for like… relaxing or sexy times

Besides, I never get so filthy that I make bath water too gross to sit in.

@randaness - That’s an interesting way of seeing things. I hadn’t realized cancer rates were so much lower in Germany.
I turned down a great deal on an apartment once because it only had a shower stall, no bathtub. I love bathes.
I think the last time I had a bath was 15 years ago. I really like showers.

I like hot tub but take shower most of time as it’s quicker. Will take shower before taking bath……..
I’d rather shower than sit in my own dirt…though sometimes i do if i just want to be alone and relax..
I remember one of my ex boyfriends family of FOUR (whom he did not live with) would take baths right after each other AND NOT CHANGE THE WATER!!!!! omg how gross!!!!!
I have showers because it is quicker and easier to organise. I like baths but I am very lazy and impatient and the whole waiting for it to fill up is just too much for me.
I take a bath if I have to shave or if I’m cold. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, I get up and take a bath because I can’t warm myself up.
I usually shower though.
During droughts, I usually only shower once a week, but there is a swimming pool around me, so I get some rinse. I know it’s gross, but my family farms, so I try to think about them, even though they live a ways away, the poor farmers.
@In_a_W0rld_0f_my_0wn - we used to do that when I was growing up. Since the little ones wore diapers, they went last. I went after mom.

Well, I have shower early in the morning before school. But at the weekend I have bath, its more relaxing than a shower. Bath is great after a long and tiring day..
@kkrriiissyy - I don’t think they probably are. Probably what happened was that when my grandma was in Germany she didn’t meet anyone who told her that they had cancer, but she hears about people in America getting cancer all the time.

People are suddenly “sitting in their own dirt” when they take a bath, but don’t think about it already being on them the rest of the time. No comprende. @xXrEMmUsXx -
@NightCometh - That is just how i feel about it, yes. its not a sudden thought, one I’ve had for quite some time. And of course I think about it already being on me, hense the reason i shower and never rewear clothing.
i find illogical saying that when we take baths we bathe in our own dirt..there is enough water around so far to rinse ourselves when we’re finished..
Showers because I have one of those regular shower/tub things which aren’t all that comfy to bathe in. That and I get pretty dirty and work in a medical field. Soakin in Giardia doesn’t sound sexy.
If you never take showers you might be a little stinky. This is the concerned citizen in my talking.
I take a bath because I get cold in showers. I shower at the gym but at home it is baths all the time.

shower. even when i want to take a bath, i’d take a shower first. don’t want to bath in my own dirt. to me bathing is for relaxing, not for cleaning oneself.

showers for me too. gets the job done quicker. if i want to read a good book, i’d prefer to do it where the book will not be in danger of getting wet.
oh how i used to love baths. i’d light candles, pour wine and just relax in lavender water. now, i only take showers- even though i have a glorious garden tub.
a bath feels good. if the water is hot enough, screw the germs. what matters is that hot water embracing you and driving some of the ache out of the muscles. as for the dirt, well, you remove that with soap and the towel takes care of the rest.
