I’ve seen The Hobbit. It’s amazing. (I’m also a big fan of the books.)
Red Dawn!
I just watched les miserables and it was lovely.
I’ve not watched the hobit yet but i want to thou, i was a big fan of lord of the rings.
Life of pi- the book was a bore.. but i still wanna watch it anyway
I wish I saw as many movies as you do.
The Hobbit. everything else I can watch on video when it comes out.
@mellywelly15 - You’re out of your mind, woman! The life of pie was a GREAT book!!!! It was a decent movie too.
And they just made a Les Mis remake with Liam Neeson. I refuse to see another one, especially one with Wolverine playing Jean Valjean!
P
I’m looking forward to watching Jack the giant slayer! Haha
As weird as The Life of Pi sounds and looks, my friends absolutely loved it. I’ve also heard The Hobbit was pretty amazing as well.
@amateurprose - hahaha oh well, really liam neeson? That’s interesting.
If I hadn’t seen any of those, The Hobbit. Of the ones I haven’t seen, Les Mis.
“This is 40″ was funny; saw it Saturday night. I really want to see “Django Unchained”, “The Hobbit”, “Lincoln”, and “Jack Reacher”.
I refuse to see “Les Miserables” even though I adore Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman. I find the book and musical very boring, and I greatly dislike Anne Hathaway.
I haven’t heard of “Red Dawn” until now, but after reading about it online, it sounds alright.
Either the Hobbit or Lincoln, I heard Lincoln was awesome.
Playing Donkey Kong in the arcade.
Movies are boring.
Since it’s Christmas, I’m in a giving mood. If anyone didn’t know how to pronounce the name of the movie, and would like to know, it’s pro-nounced
Less, Mister (silent t) ubb uhls.
The movie is named after the playwright: Lester Abhels. In France, where this work was penned, they say the mister part after the first name. Hence, Less, Mister Ubb-uhls.
Merry Christmas.
Hey, is the eggnog gone already?! Damn.
Life of Pi looks like The Jungle Book went out to sea.
# 9 or # 3 Life of Pi was a pretty good film.
Saw the Hobbit. It was okay–prefer the book.
Skyfall
@Under_the_Ghillie - Ive been saying it as less miss rubs
haha
Life of Pi. Go watch.
I’m watching les miserables in an hour.
I went to go see Django and it was awesome!
i’ve seen The Hobbit and Life of Pi already, and i loved both.
but i think i’m seeing Les Mis tomorrow; hopefully it meets my desperate need for classic-literature-turned-film.
Les Misreables is going to be the #1 most overrated and endorsed by Xanga film of all time. I saw the 1996 version with Liam Neeson and Geoffery Rush, and I honestly thought it was boring. This newer version is even worse in regards to how the movie makers wanted to compete with V for Vendetta to see who has the more dramatic hair-cutting scene.
Lay mizzer ahbl.
Definitely Les Misérables or Django Unchained. I saw Les Mis when it was in town and loved it … really looking forward to the movie. I actually ended up watching Monsters Inc. in 3D last night though, haha.
Les Miserables was amazing! I adore the musical, and the film was wonderfully done
I wanted to see Django Unchained but I fell asleep this afternoon
Django and hobbit of course and les miserables got some nice ratings so. i mean im not for musicals but anne hathaway <3
@Proud2B2003 - Me too!! Loved it. Going to reread the book. ^-^
Les Mis. Great book, great play, can’t wait to see it. I want to see Lincoln and Life of Pi too. And the Hobbit. I need to get busy.
@mellywelly15 - interesting
Saw “Parental Guidance” last night.
The Hobbit if for no other reason because my cousin worked on the film.
@Keiki – I did that before I saw the movie. Now I’m on Lord of the Rings book. (I just started it.)
the one with the mom and the grown son.
@TheGiantSlayer -
I come back from an almost indefinite hiatus because my computer did not like Xanga, but now it does, and you’re still a comment whore posting about movies.
I’d probably have to see Django Unchained or Jack Reacher, even though I hate Tom Cruise’s acting, it looks like a good movie.
Les Miserables! I’ve always been a fan since I was a kid.
This is 40, Lincoln, The Hobbit, Les Miserables – in that order.
The Hobbit was AWESOME! Because I have read the book and because I am a fan.
I’ve also seen Rise of the Guardians, which was pretty cool. I wouldn’t watch Life of Pi. But I MIGHT watch Les Miserables.
I don’t think my comment went through on thisthis. pornz
I want to see both Les Miserables and The Hobbit. I liked Lincoln when I did watch it.
@Chibi_Son_Gokou - I agree with you on Les Mis being overrated. It always kills everything else in the ratings just because its Les Mis.
I only watch movies based on books if I’ve read the book, which means no Les Miserables, and no Life of Pi, which are the two I’d prefer to see. I’ve heard Life of Pi is a great book. I’ve read The Hobbit, and I really enjoyed it, but I don’t know if I’ll see the movie. I’m not big on books turned movies anyway.
LES MIS because it’s one of my favorite books. Very excited
My mom and stepdad saw Django and loved it.
Well I’ve already seen The Hobbit and Les Miserables, so I guess Rise of the Guardians. But that’s a bit more from the awesome titel than the movie itself.
You are all wrong! Doesn’t anyone teach French in your High schools anymore? It’s pronouced ‘ Lay Miz-ay-raab’. The “r” should be rolled. The version with Liam Neeson was the straight one. No music. The musical is good. The book is depressing, but that’s the point. It was about how the Revolution in France was supposed to change people’s lives for the better while all it did was muck things up so badly a lot of people were legitimately unhappy/disenfranchised/*ucked over by petty tyrants and self seeking criminals. Hence the “the miserable ones”. Napoleon did them all a huge favour.
Les miserables or life of pie or hobbit or the guardians.
its funny me and my significant other were just talking about what movie to watch! thanx for the run down. begging me to ee the “Hobbit” but i have no intrest to cause i didnt follow the other Lord of the Rings movies.
The Hobbit.
i would love to see les mis. the others, aside from the hobbit, i’ve not heard of. i don’t go to the movies anymore, though, because people are rude assholes.
I want to see the movie you saw! I hope to get it when it comes to Red Box.
Me & my hubby went and saw The Hobbit recently. It was good. He’s looking forward to the next couple of movies in the series.
I’d really like to see Django and Les Mis.
Life of Pi is an amazing book. Your fat friend up there probably has no liking for anything unless it contains a lot of food in it.
@Thatslifekid - Not to mention all the hipsters out there calling it “Les Miz”.
Saw Hobbit and Les Miz.
les mis, this is 40, and django. i’ve only seen the hobbit out of those.
Zero Dark Thirty.
I love Tarantino but I don’t have many friends who appreciate that level of violence. So I’d see Django Unchained… but I’d probably be alone. Sad face.
Les miserables today with my parents. Django sounds good but my dad wouldn’t do well with that much violence
