  • The Biggest Gift

Recently someone gave me a gift of $7500.  It was the biggest gift I ever received.

I didn’t need it so I am going to put it in the bank.
What is the biggest gift you have ever received?

  • well, not that big!

  • My husband bought me a van last December.

  • wow that’s a big gift! I have no idea what the biggest gift I’ve gotten is, but I know its nowhere near that!

  • The car that my FIL gave me, for a dollar.

  • Well, I haven’t received it yet- apparently, I still need to give you my bank’s routing number.

  • My aunt gave me $1000 once.

  • Who the hell gave you nearly 8 grand? I am so jealous. That’s a great gift. The best gift I ever received was for my birthday one year a boyfriend paid for a hotel room is a really expensive place, bought dinner and bought me presents :) It cost him about $600 I think. It was awesome…didn’t keep us together but still AWESOME haha

  • Come on people, how much is your mothers love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you don’t need it, give it to me. I’ll take good care of it, I promise.

  • Eternal life from Jesus Christ. :)

  • It’s still Mother’s Day where I am so I am going to say the gift of life. Lova ya Mom!

  • i have never ever gotten a gift that was that big! that is so crazy! umm the biggest gift i probably have ever received was um… some steve madden boots haha

  • lol, I’ll take it.. I could use $7500.

Actually that kind of reminds me how I think it is odd that celebrities get gift baskets with things like x-boxes and PlayStation’s at award shows or performances.. but they are so rich, not like a $600 console is going to set them back, ha ha

  • My father gave me a truck to drive as my very first vehicle.  The truck was probably worth 13k when he gave it to me.

Sadly, I totaled it a few years later. The insurance company gave my dad a check for 7 to 8k for the totaled truck. My dad gave me this money to put towards the first car I bought/financed on my own.

My parents have given me a lot over the years. I am very thankful.

Technically, money for living expenses and college tuition is the biggest gift I’ve ever received.

  • Three grandchildren<:)

  • Who is this person and can I be their friend?

  • wow…I don’t think I’ve ever received a big gift…it was probably less than $100

  • Holy crap… … … I need your friends.

  • My mom bought me my cat =] . Definitely the best present I’ve received.

  • The biggest gift we were ever given was $500 to buy a Geo Metro when our Geo Storm died right before my husband was deploying for Iraq. That was a very appreciated gift. And thankfully, we only had one child so the small car was big enough for our family at the time.

  • wtf man! share the wealth! what about the rest of us 99%?

  • I could use 7500 lol

  • Well, shit. I could use $7500. The most I ever received was, like, $300 for my Sweet 16, I think. That was pretty awesome. =]

  • life,   going to wonderful places in the world,    my sister who is 28 this year,   wonderful parents.     I got a new cousin two years ago in September (I dreamt that my uncle and his wife were expecting)  and I got a new cousin on it way yet again through a dream.

  • Well, he is about six feet tall, brown hair and just plain gorgeous.  Oh, and his name is Jason.

  • My brother went on my Amazon wishlist and gone completely insane, buying me all sorts of books and software. I was surprised when I saw a big box in the mail. Honestly, it was the largest amount of gifts I ever received in a single sitting.

Hey @TheTheologiansCafe, holla at your boy. Hahahah…

  • The gift of friendship, family, health and happiness.

  • I don’t often receive large sums of cash. I think the most cash I ever get at any one time is 100-300 bucks. I could live off of 7500 for the rest of the year.

  • Do inheritances count? I received one of about $50K once. On the other hand, I gave gifts of about $60K to family members during the past year.

  • My Mom just gave us her Car.  Now we have two cars again.

  • God’s grace is the biggest gift I have ever received…

  • I have never had more than 2k in my bank at any time…..

  • Dude. Who are you friends with who just gives you 7500 dollars? You should probably introduce me, because *I* need that.

  • I had two friends from Xanga plus another help me and my son when we were in transition from one location o another. So, basically, I have my life since the to thank them for.

  • Everything I’ve ever had, including life itself, a family to grow up in, a home to live in, every bit of food that ever graced my table, the best wife in the world, the best dogs in the world, all are gifts, and moreover, all one single gift – from God. The biggest gift I’ve ever been given though is the one I deserved the least – eternal life in Christ, and I’m truly looking forward to getting the wrapping off that one!

  • Plane ticket and 3 months over seas. All paid for.

  • It was the time my wonderful and considerate friend Dan gave me the $7500 he just stated that he had no use for

    Wink wink hint hint

  • in terms of money:
my parents paid for everything  growing up, and I mean everything. I was one of those kids who wasn’t allowed to work, because school was my job…and my free time was to be enjoyed – with church, swimming, track, piano, clubs, everything…my parents paid for my university (whatever my summer jobs and when they finally allowed me to work in my third and fourth year, didn’t cover), my housing, groceries, etc during that time. Granted, I don’t spend money frivolously. I still find it ridiculous to pay more than $10-$15 for a meal…everything included…

the downside of my parents paying for everything is that I still can’t shop for clothes by myself, I need my mom to look at all my clothes etc. if she’s not there, my dad or brothers will do…there are very few friends I would trust with this…this is to the point, that I got my mom to “approve” my internet purchases beforehand…just to make sure she thought the shoes I picked out were nice =P

for my graduation gift, my parents paid for my laser eye surgery =)

in terms of stuff for our family:
people who have heard that my parents were going to university, paid for my parents’ degrees. No one asked them, they just asked if they could – it was pretty cool, more than one person offered to pay for all of my mom’s degree I think…
We have been pretty blessed =) My dad is a financial planner, so I think we’ve done a bit better than others in the same situation thanks to his wisdom =) and God has blessed us immensely! It’s incredible when you think about how much God loves you – truly blows my mind!

  • My family (husband and son)!

  • Maaaaan I could use a few grand right now. Who gave you that?!
