Maintaining Your Eyebrows
After I waited in line at the bank yesterday for 14 minutes while staring at the high butt crack of the woman in front of me, I was able to cash my check.
I took the money from the check and went to the mall and made an appointment to have my eyebrows waxed. I have my eyebrows waxed about every six weeks. Once you have your eyebrows waxed, you feel you need to keep them up.
Different people pick different ways to maintain their eyebrows. Some will pick waxing them. There are others who will pluck them. Then there is always the “do nothing” approach.
Which way do you use to maintain your eyebrows?

I just sort of pull at my eyelashes and let the loose ones come out. Every now and then I will use tweezers to pluck out bad ones.
Pluck – you have more control over the hairs.
I *have* to do something for my eyebrows. I’ve been plucking, mainly b/c I’m too intimidated and cheap to get them waxed. Though I really should give it a try….
Wax about once every 6 months and pluck to keep them up.

I do a little of both. Plucking to maintain and if it gets bad I wax them.
I don’t need to maintain them. My dad says I have beautiful eyebrows.

Why not do nothing? I don’t see lions worrying about triming their manes. I don’t see wholly mammoths considering a brazillian wax. I don’t see… well, what can I say to out-weird that last one, eh?
Anyway, my point is that everything we have is because it is useful, or causes no harm. (On the other hand… I find myself somewhat hypocritical… the thought of dating a hairy woman does repulse me somewhat… can you say double-standard?…)
Pfft. I don’t give them any thought. Every once in a while the hair cutter will ask if I want them trimmed; if that happens, I let them. Otherwise the brows go unshorn.
I suppose if I had a unibrow, I might go out of my way to do something…

A good combination of the three. I prefer to have them waxed, but I rarely remember to get it done, so I pluck when I know I need it, otherwise, I do nothing!

I got waxed once. Sometimes I pluck at them, but I only do the part that grows towards the center (even though I don’t have a unibrow, they sometimes get bushy there… I got my dad’s eyebrow forests). Every single time I have ever tried to shape them though, I have drastically screwed them up and had to wear this one kind of eyeliner pencil over the screwup till it grew back.
I gotta get waxed soon. I am terrible at plucking.
I get them waxed about once a month. If I have strays, I pluck them until I next get them waxed at a nail place. I actually just got mine done yesterday and you’re right; once you get them waxed once you realize how much better you look and feel and you just can’t neglect them anymore!
I shave the middle of the unibrow. That’s all I really need…

Pluck and waxing. I only get them waxed when I get my hair cut, so that is not very often. In between waxings I pluck them.
I tweeze mine every week or two.

pluck and trim a little. I used to also tweeze my nose hairs. I figured that was pretty close to the same pain as child birth.

I have to say that if you actually pay money to have either done it is absurd. i do it at home and it turns out just fine. but 12 dollars for a wax is just plain absurd.
I was once an obsessive plucker. I plucked and tweezed my eyebrows on a daily basis, and pretty soon they were pencil thin and if I plucked anymore…they’d be gone.
Now, I just pluck what I NEED to, as opposed to just going tweezer-crazy. I would like to start having them waxed though, it seems much easier and more beneficial.

Totally natural. I have never trimmed, plucked or waxed. I am told constantly that I have great eyebrows and how I take care of them. Too many people respond with disbelief that I don’t do anything. I’m a natural kinda gal though. I don’t do make up or tons of jewelary either and with my hair… the easier it is to manage the better off I like it. Besides, with all the money I save not buying beauty supplies I can get the things that mean more to me.

Your story about that lady “cracks” me up! lol I have never had my eyebrows waxed, although I would like to try it sometime (my eyebrows are pretty light in color so I don’t have to worry to much). I have this nervous habit though, when I am in deep thought I will pull at my eyebrows….I have been known to pull so much that I have left bald spots on my brows….my teenager daughter laughs at me for this. (I guess I am pretty stressed)

Definitely waxing, I think plucking hurts a lot more, plus it takes a lot longer. Sometimes I try to pluck in between waxings to maintain, but I usually give up. My problem is that I can’t find anyone to wax my brows for under $10…that seems ridiculous to me!
Our family has inherited naturally great eyebrows…I only tweeze a stray one occasionally. Too much plucking or waxing looks artificial and loses the natural shape and line – makes me sad to see so much of that on some of today’s young ladies.

When mine get unruly, I just break out a comb and a scissors and trim them in front of the mirror. Takes about one minute total. But to endure a “high butt crack”, cash your paycheck then run to the mall, well that gives me some insight.
