I haven’t read the article yet, but I’m wondering if she did it for the money or for the attention. If it’s the latter then I really pity her.
I heard of a woman doing this to her child not too long ago. She shaved the little girl’s head and kept her drugged with Nyquil or something like that, all for the money. If that isn’t a ticket straight to hell, I don’t know what is.
Ok, no, that’s pretty harsh. But it’s a pretty horrible thing to do.

What does that have to do with anything? God doesn’t hate her, NOR does God hate homosexuals. He hates the sin, not the sinner.
1 John 1:8-10 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.”
The verse implies that ALL sins will be forgiven, not just certain ones.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. There you have it. God doesn’t hate homosexuals.

Oh that’s an old story. Well, maybe this one is new, but the scam is old. I watched a whole hour special about this lady that did that. Her friends funded like 10 trips around the world so that her and her friends could have “one last getaway.” Eventually someone filmed her multiple times going into tanning salons and going shopping while she was “going in for chemotherapy treatments.”

Someone commented below the article that she should be required to donate a kidney.
She’ll probably end up getting cancer now and know what it is really like.
And that is why I don’t give money to random people on the streets.
I’d never do that. 1) I am not a big fan of stealing. 2) I hate fundraising.

A woman in the Chicago area just plead guilty to a similar cancer scam. She took over $30,000 and people were running errands for her….i think she got sentenced to 6 months in jail and probation. It’s terrible that some people might have second thoughts about helping others and those who are truly in need would suffer for it.
Locally a few years ago, there was a woman who convinced her own daughter that she (the daughter) had cancer. She shaved the daughter’s head and raised money. It’s really sad.

I have heard of other people doing things like this…it’s sad that people try to scam others(I got an email from a scammer with”cancer” just a little while ago.)

Of course, it’s terrible that con artists like her prey on the generosity of others. She ought to be tried and sentenced appropriately.
In the meantime, generous people need to be careful about how they give their charitable contributions. NEVER give money directly to individuals, unless you’ve already been friends for a good while. Give only to respected organizations that keep proper accounting. And stand your ground! Con artists are experts at prying money out of people’s hands.
