@Inspectorgrampy5 - LOL! you might as well!! that does sound amazing though i like folly because it’s less crowded. there’s maybe one hotel ON the beach, i think. that’s why i like it so much. and yes, south carolina is beautiful…or rather, parts of it lol.

Part of me thinks that I might like living in Seattle, WA. Of course, I couldn’t be sure of that unless I actually moved there.
Of all the states I have lived in, Alaska and Hawaii have been the best, but I swear NY has my heart. Every time I have left, I have ALWAYS returned. It will always be number one. Haters can peace out. California STINKS unless you’re just chilling out and vacationing. PA was the WORST. Tennessee was probably the most boring… no, DEFINITELY the most boring. Ohio is pretty dull; however, the people are SO nice. I would never live in Florida. Minnesota was a cool visit, but I wouldn’t want to be there permanently. It’s too big, I’d go out of my mind having to travel miles to see my neighbor. And most people in Kentucky I swear are about the dumbest folk I’ve ever met, the women in particular… I said most, not all, so before you get your undies in a knot and get offended, get some self confidence in who you are and then maybe take a second peek at the indefinite pronouns. If someone told me I could never leave Washington for the rest of my life, I’d be fine with that!

It’s weird….I find the question misses the point, for me. I don’t think in terms of living in states, so much as living in cities. Because the cities in a state can vary.
e.g. Mobile, Ala. is antebellum, flat, a little rundown and not particularly…interesting. Birmingham, Ala. on the other hand, is gorgeous, full of rolling hills, interesting people and interesting things to do.
Honolulu is bustling, culturally chaotic (in the BEST way), vibrant and the buildings are a little rundown. But at least Honolulu has buildings. Certain places on Maui are populated by huts.
To answer your question, though…
based on the cities I want to live in (San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and D.C.), I would have to say I’d like to live in either California, Washington state or Virginia (again).

@Nemokama - the winter is the rainiest season, but the rain never lasts that long (we are called the rainbow state because there are lots of rainbows everywhere after the rain!). it’s not dreary-rainy like seattle. as for dirty, i definitely wouldn’t say it’s dirty. new york city is wayyy dirtier in comparison (but i guess “dirty” is all relative, depending on what you’re used to)– hawaii has lovely beaches, a slow pace, and GREAT food. i guess the only downside to it all is that once you get bored, you get bored. hawaii is the most isolated island in the world, particularly smack middle in the pacific ocean with nothing around for a long while, so if you wanna go anywhere else you gotta get on a plane.
so if you like consistency, go to hawaii. if you like constant change, then don’t go to hawaii.
Not sure why, but maybe North or South Carolina. Perhaps, my views are swayed or influenced by those Nicholas Sparks novels. lol

California, New York, or Florida
Perhaps, my views are swayed or influenced by those Nicholas Sparks novels. lol
@npr32486 - I take it you don’t live in Philly then. Well, unless you live in the better parts of it such as near the waterfront or something. hehe
@Roadlesstaken - Won’t you miss seeing the snow though? lol
@Babieboo_Annie - Lancaster.
@Babieboo_Annie - NOOO haha
Delaware. Pretty much no one knows where it is, but I love it here. I mean… no sales tax is amazing, my family is around, and I’m close to beaches and not too far from NY. It’s great.
the best state is texas, duh
New York! Just got back from there, and it was amazing.
