  • The Easter Bunny

I never believed in the Easter Bunny.  My parents always told me the truth and just told me not to tell anyone else.

I am sort of amazed at how long some kids go without figuring it out themselves.
How old were you when you figured out the Easter Bunny wasn’t real?

  • I knew that was  a joke from the start.

  • I was like you and never allowed to believe in it from the start.

  • Never believed in the Easter Bunny.

Never believed in gods or Jesus either.

  • When it ran away. Oh, wait. That was my bunny….

  • Wow that is one creepy looking bunny. I don’t think I ever believed in the Easter Bunny. They had me going for years on that Santa thing though.

  • I can’t even remember. Maybe I didn’t even believe in the easter bunny, who knows!

  • You lie!  The Easter Bunny is totally real.  How dare you slander the Easter Bunny with your lies.  You should be ashamed of yourself!

  • That is one evil looking bunny. I only believed in the hollow chocolate Easter bunny.

  • If I knew that terrifying Easter bunny was visiting me as a child, I would have been good all year for fear of him stealing my soul. Those eyes… those creepy, soulless eyes give me the willies…

  • I believe in the Cadbury Bunny. OMG OMG CADBURY CREME EGGS

  • my mom asked me if i wanted an easter basket this year.

    no joke.

  • Never believed in him. It was more of a mascot for the holiday rather than “The easter bunny is real and hid the eggs!

We dyed and took turns hiding the eggs as a family, so it was more of a family thing.

  • we kids used to leave a tray of baby powder out by the door. our parents had a tradition of hiding our baskets, so this was our sneaky way of trying to trick the “easter bunny” into leaving tracks towards our baskets. there were always powder paw prints all over the floor on easter morning! never helped me find my basket worth a damn though. even long after i knew the easter bunny was fake we’d still leave powder on the floor, it was so fun waking up to see paw prints every where lol! i guess my mom had a stamp or something? i can’t figure how else she’d do it.

  • My parents took the same tack about Jesus. Some kids go even longer with that one.

  • Can’t believe you’re still going!:D Lovely to see this site up and active – I was subbed to you about 5 or 6 years ago (yikes!) and have just returned to look at a few old haunts. Fantastic – hope you’re well and life is treating you fairly!  Sarah x

  • Now you know how atheists feel.

  • *sniffle* you mean the bunny’s a fraud?!?! imma go cry in my pillow now ;P

  • I don’t know, but my brother found out because when he was 3, there was a dead rabbit on the road.  I told him it was the Easter Bunny.  Mom and Dad had to tell him there was no Easter Bunny to get him to stop crying.  Yeah, it was mean, but I still laugh about it.

  • When I was 6 or 7 I was in the car with my cousin (same age) and his mom was driving.  I saw that Santa was going to be at the McDonalds and yelled “CAN WE GO SEE SANTA?” to which my darling cousin said “Psh, Santa’s not real, it’s your parents doing all that stuff.”  I said “nuh uh.”  Cousin “Yessir, tell her mom.”  My WONDERFUL aunt then said “It’s true, there is no Santa Claus.” As I’m desperately trying to process this horrific news my cousin then shatters my world with, “Same thing with the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny.”

I think that’s when I started the cynicism.

  • I don’t know if I ever believed in the easter bunny, but I’m impressed at how well my parents hid easter eggs.

  • That is the scariest Easter Bunny I have ever seen. My parents never told us about Santa or the Easter Bunny (at least not in a way to make us believe they were real)

  • Wait… so you’re telling me the easter bunny isn’t real? Awww man…

  • Wow, you find the best photos for a post.

I never believed in the Easter bunny.  Santa Claus was real, but the Easter bunny was just something stupid to me that no one in their right mind could possibly ever believe in.

  • I’ve been an abuniest for months. I realized there was a problem; when I figured there was no evidence that rabbits could lay eggs.

  • I knew the easter bunny was a fraud as a young kid, but I had no idea how big a fraud until I learned about the Passover Lamb.

  • I believe in the Easter Bunny. I don’t think you can pick and choose which parts of the Bible to believe.

Leviticus 11:6 “Don’t eat the Easter Bunny.”

  • Well, I was taught from the getgo that Santa Claus didn’t exist because no fatass white guy bearing gifts can make it down the chimney without getting stuck. As for the Easter Bunny? Pffft. Forget it.

  • I was scared not to believe in the Easter bunny because I thought that meant I wouldn’t get candy on Easter.

PS. My birthday is on Easter this year. I better get something fantastic…

  •

I guess the same time that the tooth fairy wasn’t real but then I just kept believing cause I wanted the money under my pillow.

  • WAIT! YOU’RE SAYING THE EASTER BUNNY IS NOT REAL??!!!

  • I never believed in the Easter Bunny either, my parents never told me about it. I had friends who believed in the Easter Bunny when I was a kid and learned about it from them. My only tradition on Easter was coloring eggs and no presents for Easter. Is that what the Easter Bunny did? Give you presents and chocolate bunnies?

  • I am 24 and the Easter Bunny still gives me a basket.

  • i was never told about the easter bunny. probably because of where i grew up. but i believed in santa until the 2nd grade but like i had doubts.
