Spelling Errors in Posts
Imagine that one of your xanga friends shared of himself in a blog. Imagine he was not the type to share of himself in a post.
Now imagine he made a spelling error in his title.
Would you correct his spelling error?

Not if it was a SERIOUS post…. but it would bother me a lot.
If it was a serious post in which he shared, then I’d spend more time thinking about my response. But three or four sentences of nondescript sharing? I’d probably tease him for the oversight because it would bug me to see a title with a blatant typo in my newsfeed. I’m an ass. What can I say?
The only time I ever correct a spelling error is if somebody leaves the L out of PUBLIC. And I don’t do that pubicly.
No. That’s an asshole move.
Only if you secretly hate them and want to be passive aggressive.
No that’s a nasty thing to do.
Writers write, editors edit.
@light_blue_fables - You may not have seen it because I was one comment beneath you but I harassed him too. You and I, LBF, we’re the worse.
Even good writers make mistakes. I am one who will notify a good writer with a good post of a mistake that might detract from his intended message.
Only if the mistake could cause a serious misunderstanding.
I probably wouldn’t, if it was a serious post. Unless it was really glaring.
no, but i have had others correct me on my spelling. but i try to be very careful to spell correctly
I honestly can’t stand the people who correct spelling or grammar. lol
it might bug ya, but you don’t have to say anything. It’s easy to make mistakes when typing fast.
I don’t know Dan! But I am preparing a post – how do you spell “lesbian”?
No.
People who consider every typo and mistake of grammar or spelling a thing to be pointed out need to realize that they are neither amusing nor helpful.
No
Because my spelling and grammar is not good.
I only correct the grammar if it is (1) Funny somehow or (2) Someone who ignored my post and commented on my grammar in the past. ha ha
Mabe. It dipends.
hey, it’s friends correcting me so I accept the help
It’s called Page. Or is that Paige?
Hell if I know but she’s my friend.
damn agree with you http://sophiemiee.xanga.com
I don’t usually correct errors in posts, unless they cause misunderstandings. I remember once a friend wrote about how she had a food day, and I was very confused. I think it is nice to point out a mistake, especially in the title, and when the post is meant to be seen by many people, so that he can correct it?
It would depend on the type of mistake though.
I am quite surprised how many people think it’s a dick-move, when usually I see everyone whining about everyone else’s bad grammar and how “stupid people are”.
I wouldn’t correct him.
I’d just shoot him. That shit has gone on long enough, we need to get serious about putting a stop to it, Dammit!
@saintvi - I always try to type it “publically.” I don’t know why. I know better, but I don’t do better.
I do typos all the time, what is wrong with people thinking that posts should be perfect?
@Shadowrunner81 - I went back and forth on whether to point out the error in grammar that you made in this comment. The one rule to being the Grammar Police is to make sure your own grammar is flawless, isn’t it?
my co-worker’s mom makes $60/hr on the laptop. She has been laid off for 10 months but last month her payment was $13223 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Go to this web site and read more http://www.mac22.com
Nah, I always make spelling errors in my posts that I write with my phone. Purely because it’s just too much effort to go back and correct hitting the wrong button. Would be very hypocritical of me haha
@WrappedinWishes2 - You and me, we got issues.
@Shadowrunner81 - Nah I was just teasing.
I’d be the one making the mistake, but i’d have probably done it on purpose…just to f@*k with people :-p
thenagainmaybenot
Of course I’d correct him! How will he fix it if no one corrects him? Would he rather have it wrong for everyone to see?
I wouldn’t do it over the social media though. Over email or something.
