  • Plan B Vending Machines

Shippensburg University has added Plan B vending machines.

Students wanted to add it to make contraceptive more accessible.
So the school added it.  Plan B is an emergency contraceptive that is taken after a woman has had sex.  Here is the link: Link

  • Women Are Too Weak

I was reading an article about some of the reasons why some people do not want to have women serve in combat roles in the military.  Here are some of the reasons:

    1.  Women are too weak.  (This makes sense.  The average woman is clearly weaker than the average man).
    2.  Combat missions are too gross for women.  (The example given is that women may not feel comfortable peeing outside when guys are nearby).
    3.  Men will struggle to contain themselves around attractive women.  (This makes sense based on what we hear about sexual harassment).
    4.  Women will meet lower standards.  (This happened while I was in the military in that the physical test for the women was easier than the physical test for the men).
It is impossible to touch on all of these issues but lets start with number 2.
Ladies, have you ever peed in public?

  • My Haunted House

A woman is suing the person she bought a house from and the real estate agent because they did not tell her that a murder-suicide had taken place in the home.
The man who once lived there shot and killed his wife and then killed himself.
The woman thinks she should have been told that before buying.  Here is the link:  Link
Would you buy a house if you knew someone had committed a murder-suicide in it?

  • Why Work?

I was reading a story about a couple in the U.K. who are living off welfare.  They get £17,680 a year in benefits which is about $27890.20 in U.S. dollars.

The woman mentioned she would not take a job for less than £26,000 a year because it would not be worth it for the little extra money.  There thinking is that their parents paid taxes for years and so it is just like they are getting that money back that their parents put into it.  Here is the link:  Link

I remember a woman on xanga who was on welfare who said she would not take a job for $10-12 an hour because she would not make more money than when she was on welfare and yet she would have to work full time.

So imagine you are on welfare making $26,000 a year.

Would you take a job that offered you $26,000 a year?

  • Times You Should Not Be on Xanga

Today I was at a funeral but I was in the back row and I decided to surf the Internet.

So give yourself a point for everything you have done on this list while on the internet or texting.
    1.  Attending a funeral
    2.  Attending a Wedding
    3.  Having sex
    4.  Church
    5.  Driving
    6.  Using the Toilet  (This was nerdyveggiegirl’s idea).
    7.  Taking a Bath  (This was nerdyveggiegirl’s idea).
How many of the above have you done while texting or surfing the Internet?

  • Sugar Babies and Prostitution

I was reading an article about an attractive 20 year old woman who was dating a 60 year old man she met online.
The article is about “sugar daddies” and “sugar babies.”  Women who are young meet up with rich older men and everyone gets their needs met.
In the article, the 20 year old woman is quoted as saying “I don’t call it prostitution, because you are not being paid directly for sex.  You are helped financially in different ways:  You go shopping, you go out to eat, you go to see plays, you have fun.  It’s just like dating.”  Here is the link:  Link

  • Fat Shaming

A prominent bioethicist is saying that we need a little fat shaming to curb obesity.
He said that we need social pressure to help some people lose weight.  He wants posters that read, “If you are overweight or obese, are you pleased with the way that you look?”
He has suggested that a good dose of shame would help repair the nations health.  Here is the link:  Link
Do you think we should fat shame in order to help others get healthy?

  • Women in Combat

Good news ladies.  Very soon you will be able to fight in combat again.

The military will have a new policy that will allow women to serve on the front lines of combat.  Here is the link:  Link

  • Love Your Neighbor As Yourself

In the Bible, it tells us to “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  (This post was inspired by this article:  Link)

Now if you think about it, we are probably selfish.  We spend money on ourselves.  Most of us blog about ourselves.  Most of us make sure our own needs are taken care of before others.
Do you love anyone more than you love yourself?

  • 2 Girls and a Cup

Years ago, there was a movie that was out on the Internet called “2 Girls and a Cup.”

Recently the issue came up again when a guy who was known for making those type of movies was sentenced to 4 years in prison.  Here is the link:  Link
When I first saw the movie, I did not know what it was in advance.
Have you ever seen 2 Girls and a Cup?
